What does it take to build the leaders of tomorrow?
In May, the grounds of Stowe School were transformed into a high-impact training ground for young people. We were proud to support Stowe School and their cadets in offering a unique opportunity for their students, as well as cadets from across the region, to gain hands-on experience in leadership, teamwork, and resilience.
It wasn’t just another school trip. It was a day where students learnt to push their limits and shift their mindsets – the kind of experience that sticks.
Lessons that last
From the moment students arrived, they were immersed in dynamic, team-based challenges designed to develop key leadership and life skills. Throughout the day, they tackled activities focused on:
- Breaching and operational drills with BeaverFit
- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu self-defence, led by REORG instructors
- Conflict de-escalation and situational awareness with Who Dares Group
- Military skills and hands-on medical training with Who Dares Group
- Army PT and team-based challenges with Who Dares Group
This wasn’t theoretical. Students learned by doing, through guided scenarios and practical tasks that demanded focus, initiative, and trust in their peers.
Training with purpose
A highlight of the day was the Urban Ops Box – a specially designed, modular training environment, from BeaverFit, used to stimulate high-pressure scenarios in complex urban settings. Students navigated their way through:
- Room clearance drills
- Tactical movement as a unit
- Command and control scenarios
- Real-time critical thinking in unpredictable environments
These sessions required students to communicate effectively, remain calm under pressure, and execute plans with discipline, all while being debriefed and coached by professionals with firsthand operational experience.
Who Dares Group
Led by Leo Walker, former special forces operator and founder of Who Dares Group, the training pushed students out of their comfort zones and into leadership mode. The teachings focused on:
- Mission-first thinking
- The psychology of leadership under stress
- Self-discipline and ownership
Leo and his team delivered sessions that were as motivational as they were practical, blending military precision with a strong emphasis on mindset and personal growth.

REORG Charity
Alongside tactical and leadership training, students heard directly from veterans from the charity REORG, which supports military personnel and emergency service workers in their transition to civilian life through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Their sessions shared:
- Stories of overcoming adversity and trauma
- Mental resilience tools students can use in daily life

Why we do what we do
Enrichment days like this go far beyond physical activity. They help students to develop character, confidence and career readiness, especially for Combined Cadet Force (CCF) programmes, public service pathways, leadership-focused initiatives, or personal development programmes.
By offering authentic experiences that connect the dots between school, real-world responsibility, and their potential future careers, they grow fast.
Want to host your own enrichment day? 🏋️♀️
We’re proud to partner with Who Dares Group and REORG Charity to deliver real-world training experiences that shape future leaders – in uniform and beyond.
If you’re a school, college or university looking to do just that, then we’d love to hear from you.
