At BeaverFit, we have always believed in pushing limits, embracing challenges, and supporting causes that truly matter. That’s why we were thrilled to sponsor Doddie’s Grand Tour 2025, an extraordinary cycling challenge in memory of rugby legend Doddie Weir.
The Edinburgh Accies Hasbeens, a group of rugby veterans and cycling enthusiasts, geared up for the ride to raise funds for crucial Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research.
Their journey kicked off in Dublin, where five riders began their trek to the ferry in Belfast. Once in Scotland, the rest of the team joined in Stranraer, tackling a 700-mile route across the country – through the bitter cold of winter – all leading up to a grand finish in Edinburgh on 8th February, just in time for the Scotland vs Ireland 6 Nations Rugby match.
This challenge wasn’t just about endurance; it was about honouring Doddie’s legacy and making a real impact in the fight against MND.
Rob Wainwright, the driving force behind previous fundraising rides like Doddie Cup 500, Doddie Cup 555, and All Roads Lead to Rome, once again led the charge, ensuring this event was one to remember.
As the riders battled the elements and covered immense distances, they were welcomed by generous communities, schools, and clubs across Scotland.
We at BeaverFit were incredibly proud to support this inspiring cause, standing alongside these determined athletes as they rode for change.
